BLU-Escent Laser High Brightness and Long life
JVC's proprietary laser light source technology, Blu-Escent, uses a blue laser diode as the light source. The DLA-NZ700 achieves a high brightness of 2,300lm and the DLA-NZ500 of 2,000lm. Both models have a laser life expectancy of approximately 20,000 hours.

Vivid Picture Mode
The new projectors come with the all-new "Vivid Picture Mode". To reproduce SDR content with more saturated colors, than the conventional Natural mode. This mode is excellent for projecting SDR animated works popular in streaming and gaming content with greater vividness. Users can expect intense brightness and exposure in vivid picture mode where colors pop off the screen in animated movies.

Second Generation Frame Adapt HDR
The Frame Adapt HDR function, which uses a proprietary algorithm to instantaneously analyze the maximum brightness of any HDR10 content per scene or per frame. This second-generation analysis is performed in real-time tone mapping to the optimal dynamic range for video projection. The algorithm for tone mapping has been fully reexamined to achieve HDR images with higher definition. Furthermore, this new generation reproduces HDR images that are brighter, more colorful and have a wider dynamic range.

Deep Black Function
The new Deep Black function has been added to Frame Adapt HDR processing, with a new algorithm to further subdue tones in dark areas to achieve the most realistic darkness. This function maximizes the dynamic range of the new-generation 4K D-ILA devices and delivers images with more detail than ever before. Scenes with very low light, such as nightscapes, can be projected with greater realism.

Controlling the Luminance in 101 Steps
The BLU-Escent Laser can finely adjust the luminance according to the environment and preference using the Light Source Control by slider adjustment. There is a total of 101 (0 – 100) luminance control steps that can be used to make fine adjustments to match the target luminance in the environment and on the screen.
