Bowers & Wilkins CWM8.3 D In-Wall Speaker

CWM8.3 D is a three-way in-wall speaker. It features a decoupled Diamond dome 25mm (1 inch) tweeter, a 130mm (5-inch) Continuum FST midrange drive unit and two 180mm (7-inch) Aerofoil bass drivers. The central baffle is rotatable, so CWM8.3 D can be used in either vertical or horizontal alignment.

CWM8.3 D is engineered to offer the very best performance for a customer requiring great sound without seeing the source. A three-way model, it features a decoupled Diamond dome 25mm (1 inch) tweeter, a 130mm (5-inch) Continuum FST midrange drive unit and two 180mm (7-inch) Aerofoil bass drivers.

The most accurate high-frequency drive unit available, the exceptionally stiff and light Diamond diaphragm ensures pure, distortion-free treble. CWM8.3 D also includes a dark Continuum FST driver for pristine midrange sound. The range’s only three-way loudspeaker also benefits from using ultra-light yet exceptionally stiff low-frequency Aerofoil drivers for incredible bass performance.

CWM8.3 D’s back box is fully Matrix™ braced, for extra rigidity and improved performance. The back box also includes bi-wirable cables that are guided to the terminal panel through tubes and connect to the baffle with a multi-pin connector. CWM8.3 D has also been developed to fit into existing back boxes enabling customers who purchased the original CWM8.3 to easily upgrade.

CWM8.5 D is a two-way in-wall speaker. It features a decoupled Diamond dome 25mm (1 inch) tweeter and a single 180mm (7-inch) bass/mid Continuum driver.

CWM8.5 D is engineered to deliver the best possible sound from a relatively compact speaker. A two-way in-wall model, it features a decoupled Diamond dome 25mm (1 inch) tweeter and a single 180mm (7-inch) bass/mid Continuum driver.

The most accurate high-frequency drive unit available, the exceptionally stiff and light Diamond diaphragm ensures pure, distortion-free treble. CWM8.5 D also includes a dark Continuum bass/mid driver for pristine midrange and low end sound.

The use of high quality materials for all drivers (Kevlar for the woofer, Aluminum for the midrange driver, Titanium for the tweeter) ensures superb sound quality from any source. Installation is made easy with gold plated push-type speaker terminals, paintable grills/frames, a cut-out template and a paint protective cover.

Swivel Tweeter and Midrange Driver, High-Level Adjustment

You can swivel the tweeter and midrange driver to " aim" the high frequency sounds toward the main listening position. To do so, simply press on the edge of the tweeter to change the direction it faces. You can also change the high frequency level of the tweeter by using a "High-Level" adjustor to suit the customer's taste or installation environment.

Low Distortion, High Capacity Customized Crossover Network

The NS-IW660 features a customized high quality crossover network to ensure maximum sound performance. The crossover circuit is designed to minimize distortion and prevent the deterioration of transients as they pass through the network.
